About

Growing up, there was a willow tree in our yard. It was there throughout my childhood, and it remains there today. Sometimes it flourished, growing tall and strong. Othertimes it shrank back, perhaps from an over-zealous trimming or too much shade from a neighboring cedar tree. But it remained, and it is still there more than 60 years from the day I first saw it.

Creativity has followed the same path in my life, sometimes growing, sometimes waning, and so have the other parts of life we see coming and going over the years. Sometimes we are strong, creative, vibrant, and other times we are overshadowed by the neighboring cedar trees of life.

That willow tree stands as a metaphor for all these things, surviving still.

This website is about nurturing that creativity and recognizing its ebb and flow in our lives.
